In a snowy valley, Toco, an old mountain man, travels with his sledge pulled by dogs. During the journey he meets a man lying on the side of the road. Worried, he takes him home. It is Vicente, who looks like a city dweller. When he regains consciousness, he is dazzled by the sleds and by Toco's dexterity with his intimate relationship with these almost wolflike animals. He asks him to teach him how to drive sleds. Toco agrees, and in the middle of the conversation, a man appears interested in buying his property. Toco doesn't want to sell, the man insists, buying becomes an obsession. The tension grows, and men as well as wolves will show all their wild nature.
