Celia and Aí­da are sisters. Celia is an old maid who never lost her hopes of marriage and Aida is a widow. Both await the arrival of Marita, the daughter of Aí­da, who lives in Canada and comes to look for them to take them to Toronto and take care of them in their old age. Aí­da wants to meet her granddaughters, while Celia has no emotional bond with Argentina until Angel, the building janitor, declares his love.
